Jessica's Story
Jessica has traveled the world and has had the opportunity to teach English to a diverse audience of learners including adults, young adults and children from various countries. Jessica has tutored and mentored people from Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Ecuador, Vietnam, Turkey, Japan, China, Germany, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Azerbaijan, Israel, Syria, Russia, and Kuwait. Along the way, Jessica has also had the opportunity to inspire and be inspired.
She has taught English for thousands of hours to students, however, she has also learned from them about diversity, life, courage, and the importance of learning English no matter your age. It's never too early and it's never too late to learn a new language. Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching.

How Long Will it Take to Master English?
There is no definite answer. This depends on you and how much time you are willing and able to invest into learning.
Once you have decided how much time and effort you will put in, then we can have a better assessment of the time it will take. There are students that have been consistent and after 60 minutes a day, 5 days a week, they have reached a fluency level within 6 months. It really depends on you!

I’ve been learning English with Learn English with JB since June. After nearly five months, I’ve made huge progress in terms of listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
Reading: It’s the first thing we focused on but I quickly requested to change to writing. I regret it. A couple of months later, we discovered my reading skill was getting worse. Jessica taught me to practice reading out loud everyday. It helps with my accent greatly. I should have followed her instructions from the get go.
Writing: I write diary entries once or twice a week. Jessica reads and corrects it before each class starts. I used to mix up different tenses in one sentence but not anymore. She patiently explained to me the difference of each tense but also by using the conversations that can actually occur in real life. However, what I’ve learned most from the genre is to know about American culture. I’m from the other side of Pacific Ocean. There are many things that I don’t understand about Americans. For example, I didn’t understand why Americans never stick with one topic thoroughly when they have small talks. After her explanation, I must say Americans were not as rude as I thought anymore. Lol.
Listening/Speaking: We randomly pick a topic to discuss every week. It helps me to organize my thoughts and speak in the right order. On the flip side, I practice listening when Jessica talks. As a foreigner, I was used to catching key words and guessing what a native speaker talked about. It would be my lucky day if I could get 40% right. With Jessica, I gradually hear every word in the sentence. It’s like a color blind person starting to see colors. I can’t really express how happy I am with this progress. It boosts my confidence hugely when I talk to people.
Learning with Jessica is a pleasant experience. I had doubts in the beginning because I didn’t see myself making huge progress. One day, I spent some time reading my old diary and realized that those baby steps have turned into giant leaps. Communicating fluently with people has always been my dream. Because of Jessica and her professional expertise, I move closer to my goal.

Omg.Jessica is the best teacher I ever met. I have been learning English for many years . But always felt it isn't a happy thing because no one spoke with me. No one told me where I was wrong . No one practiced with me the new vocabulary. It was a long and tedious way . of course . I didn't do it well . Therefore. I met Jessica meanwhile I was with another teacher. He was like a typical teacher. He taught me every new words from a specifical digital books. It was so depressing and giving me a lot of pressure. so I switched to Jessica after 2 or 3 classes with her. At the beginning, I was kind of afraid to speak out but Jessica encouraged me and corrected me without hurting me. I will continue learning with JB.
